The Museum of History and Holocaust Education (MHHE) welcomes visitors of all ages. However, some of the content, particularly exhibitions on the Holocaust, may not be suitable for children under the age of 10 (fifth grade).
Any group or organization. The MHHE has given tours to school groups, community organizations, religious groups, scout groups, senior groups and many other organizations.
We recommend two hours for most school groups. Even with interactive discussions and activities, after this length of time, some students may lose concentration.
Other groups may schedule different length tours depending on what exhibits they wish to see and how long they wish to spend at the MHHE. We will work with you to customize your program to maximize your experience at the museum.
The museum has six onsite exhibits focusing on World War II and the Holocaust. A full list may be viewed here.
The MHHE has a movie theatre that shows four different movies: "A Short Life of Anne Frank," "V for Victory," "The Tuskegee Airmen," and "Women in World War II." We recommend screening a film at the beginning of the visit to enhance the group’s understanding of World War II and the Holocaust. Also check out our upcoming events page to stay current on our Pizza, Movie and a Tour series.
The on-site operations of the museum are run by the Onsite Education Coordinator, Andrea Miskewicz, and she should be your first point of contact regarding tours. Tours are given by museum educators who are highly trained and experienced with a wide range of audiences.
Group tours are held Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
At the East Entrance of the KSU Center (3333 Busbee Drive, Kennesaw, GA, 30144).
There is ample free parking around both sides of the KSU Center.
There is no designated picnic area at the Museum of History and Holocaust Education. We recommend visiting our friends at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield or the Varsity Jr. around the corner.
